HTC Want To Negotiate Patent Dispute With Apple

By

Recently an ITC judge ruled in Apple’s favor in the patent case between Apple and HTC, the last thing we heard from HTC was that they were going to appeal the ITC ruling.
Now HTC has been talking to Bloomberg, and the company has said that they are prepared to enter discussions with Apple over the possible patent infringements on Apple’s iOS devices.

“We are open to all sorts of solutions, as long as the solution and the terms are fair and reasonable,” Yung said. “On and off we’ve had discussions with Apple, even before the initial determination came out.”
Whether Apple will be prepared to enter discussions with HTC remains to be seen, and it Apple and HTC do come to some sort of agreement or deal this could have wider implications for Google’s Android OS and other Android smartphone manufacturers.

Verizon Droid by Motorola: The Five-Minute Review

By Corinne Iozzio

We've talked about Android 2.0 and (virtually) walked through the new Google Maps. Now, it's for real, and it's here. Motorola's Droid has landed at PopSci HQ, and it's making good on its promises. Though it's touted as the thinnest landscape slider cell phone (a little more than a half-inch), don't be fooled into thinking the Droid is light; at nearly 6 ounces it outweighs most BlackBerries and the iPhone -- but at least it feels sturdy. Its 3.7-inch display is responsive and beautifully high-res (480-by-854 pixels), and there's nice haptic feedback when you press, well, anything (I'm already finding myself defaulting to the virtual keyboard in landscape mode over sliding out the physical QWERTY).

Acer says Iconia Tab A100 due September, Android

Acer Germany puts Iconia Tab A100 in September

Acer Germany told an inquisitive Facebook fan this week that the Iconia Tab A100 was shipping in September. The seven-inch Android 3 tablet was to have been available as soon as the spring but now won't be available for a few months more. The company didn't explain the delay.
Earlier tips have hinted that Acer was waiting on Android 3.2. The company had supposedly tried to shoehorn 3.0 on to the mini tablet but had found that, like Google had warned, the interface wasn't meant for screens that small. Android 3.2 is still built only for tablets but can accommodate smaller designs like the A100 while properly scaling its interface and apps.

HTC ThunderBolt Android Smartphone Review – HTC Thunderbolt is expected to be the main challenger to the iPhone from HTC with various features that qualified.
HTC ThunderBolt android phone, on the surface, like an HD Desire but with LTE connections. 4.3-inch screen promises a satisfactory appearance for those who like browsing, but unfortunately quite large for a pocket size pouch. Second-generation processor 1GHz Snapdragon on HTC Thunderbolt gives surprisingly responsive performance, and in some cases find it more quickly than Samsing i520 and LG Revolution is theoretically faster.
