Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Coming To Verizon

We heard a rumor last week that the new Sony Ericsson Xperia Play would be available on Verizon Wireless in the US, this new gaming smartphone from Sony Ericsson is now official and it will be available in the US with Verizon Wireless.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play will be available in the US in April with Verizon and it comes with an FWVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, plus a 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM.



There is also a .1 megapixel camera with autofocus, a built in flash, plus geo-tagging and image stabilization, there is also a microSD card slot which comes pre-loaded with an 8GB card.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play also comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, plus A-GPS- WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port.
There are no details as yet on how much the Xperia Play will cost when it launches on Verizon in April.
